What’s so fun about a wax museum? It’s a great opportunity to grab some friends, take some selfies and share a lot of laughs. Madame Tussauds Orlando is full of celebrities, innovators, sports icons, super heroes and rock stars.
If you have plans to visit Orlando, spend an hour or so walking through the wax museum and taking a bazillion selfies – and share them all on your favorite social channels.
Here’s a list of 7 things to do in Orlando besides theme parks.

Tips to Capture the Best Photos at Madame Tussauds Orlando
If you don’t have a photo of you at Madame Tussauds Orlando, were you really even there? Make sure you have a camera with you for your visit. While cellphones take decent photos, I recommend bringing something a little more powerful.
But if you’re using a cellphone, don’t use the selfie lens on the phone (the one that’s above your screen). Hold the other camera toward you (the one you snap your regular cellphone photos with) and use the volume button to trigger the shutter. The selfie lens has a lower resolution.
Since you can’t see the photo as you take it, as the screen is pointed away from you, take several photos, moving the position of the camera several times so you can get one that works and doesn’t crop you out of the photo.
Position the camera so the eyes of the wax figure are looking directly at the lens. It looks a little funny if the celebrity is looking somewhere other than the camera.
If you are visiting the wax museum solo, don’t hesitate to ask any staffers to take your photo. They were very helpful when I was there solo during a business trip.
Look for Props: Wigs, guitars, football pads and more
Throughout the museum, you’ll find props you can use to help spruce of your photos. For example, I found a guitar to use in a photo with Taylor Swift. A red hoodie came in handy when I climbed aboard a bike and flew with ET.
In the music area, I was able to put on a wig, Elvis cape and sunglasses, before grabbing a mic for some karaoke work with The King.
When I stood next to Neil Armstrong on the moon, I was able to wear a tight-fitting fabric helmet and wave an American flag.
In the sports area, some of my colleagues put on the football pads and tried tackling the tackling dummies.
The props throughout the museum can help you get into the experience and capture some really fun photos.
Grab a Selfie at the A-List Party
The A-List party was just that… a party. I was able to grab a selfie with Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Anne Hathaway and my all-time favorite actor – Tom Hanks.
For the ladies, there was Ryan Gosling, along with a few props to help bring you into the party. You can also grab a selfie with Brad Pitt, Jennifer Anniston or Angelina Jolie.
You’ll likely feel a little underdressed at the party – unless you decided to wear your tuxedo or black dress to visit a wax museum.
