Best Snacks at Disneyland and Where to Find Them

There are a lot of reasons people travel from around the world to visit Disneyland. The rides? Sure. The character encounters? That works. The magic and memories? Absolutely. But I’m going to add that the snacks at Disneyland are top notch. From iconic churros to character-themed macarons, they’ve got enough variety to capture anyone’s tastebuds.

Here’s your guide to the must-try treats at Disneyland and where to find them. While I would love to include the cost of each of the treats, prices change a little too much to stay on top of them. I’ve tried to include a price range to give you an idea of the cost.

Snag a Jack Jack Cookie near Incredicoaster at Disneyland's California Adventure

Jack Jack Cookie Num Num

The absolutely decadent chocolate chip cookie is found near the entrance of the Incredicoaster. You may be able to follow your nose to find the stand that sells the Jack Jack Cookie Num Num. In fact, while riding Incredicoaster, you may smell the cookies while racing through one of the tunnels to catch Jack Jack.

  • Location: Pixar Pier, Disney California Adventure
  • Cost: $6-$8
  • Why You’ll Love It: This warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie feels like a hug from Edna Mode herself. It’s big enough to share, but I’m not sure you’ll want to.
Poison apple macaron's are a great Disneyland treat

Poison Apple Macaron

My favorite macaron in Disneyland was the poison apple one from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. The filling was so flavorful, and when I caught a bit of the caramel flavoring in the center, I had to savor that bite for a moment. I’ve never been able to find the poison apple macaron in subsequent visits, so I’m pretty sure it’s seasonal.

I still recommend stopping into the bakery to enjoy a Disneyland-style macaron. Oh, and if you’re in California Adventure and want a Baymax macaron, they have those in San Fransokyo Square.

  • Location: Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, Disneyland Park
  • Cost: $6-$8
  • Details: A Snow White-inspired treat with a red shell and some amazingly delicious filling near the center. That said… it’s a seasonal treat.
Enjoy a Dole Whip at Disneyland

The Classic Dole Whip

Disneyland is almost synonymous with the infamous pineapple-flavored soft-serve ice cream. There are two places to snag them in Disneyland: The Tiki Juice Bar near the entrance to the Jungle Cruise, or at a cart near the entrance to the Tiki Tiki Room. I highly recommend using mobile order for this one, or you could end up waiting in line a little longer than you’d like.

Wanna play Disneyland Bingo? One of the squares requires you to share a Dole Whip with someone. Check out the printable Disneyland Bingo boards.

  • Location: Tiki Juice Bar, Disneyland Park
  • Cost: $6-$8
  • Details: The classic pineapple soft serve is legendary.
Mickey beignets are a delicious treat at Disneyland

Mickey Beignets

New Orleans Square has some great shops in the classic French Quarter style. They also offer some beignets that rival those from Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. You can order them from the Mint Julip Bar on a to-go basis. The bag filled with powdered sugar and a couple of Mickey-shaped beignets will be sure to give you and your kids a little sugar high for a few more hours in the park.

  • Location: Mint Julep Bar, New Orleans Square
  • Cost: $5-$6 for 3 beignets. $8-$10 for 6 beignets
  • Details: Fluffy, powdered sugar-dusted beignets shaped like Mickey. Seasonal flavors (banana, pumpkin) rotate throughout the year.
Buy a decorative caramel apple at Pooh's Corner in Disneyland

Caramel Apple

I have a long-standing tradition when I visit Disneyland. I have to buy an amazing-looking caramel apple. They can in multiple designs, but my all-time favorite is the honey pot in Pooh Corner. I’ll buy an apple and carry it around with me for the rest of the day. I don’t often eat the apple while in California – mainly because I don’t have a strong enough knife to cut into the apple. It travels home with me for me to enjoy a few days after the trip. The apples are available in a few other spots around Disneyland and Downtown Disney.

  • Location: Candy Palace, Pooh Corner, or Marceline’s Confectionery
  • Cost: $7–$15 depending on design
  • Details: These aren’t your average caramel apples—they’re decked out in Disney flair, from Minnie bows to villain themes.
Eat a giant pickle at Disneyland

Giant Pickle

I’ve learned that pickle juice is great to help keep muscles from cramping. While that may apply to long-distance running, isn’t a trip to Disneyland a marathon-sort-of-day? A giant pickle is refreshing and can help give you a little more “umph” to keep going from one ride and experience to another.

  • Location: Multiple carts throughout both parks
  • Cost: $4-$5
  • Details: A surprisingly satisfying savory snack. Crunchy, cold, and perfect for a hot day.
Eat a turkey leg at Disneyland

Turkey Leg

How can you pass up a full turkey leg while walking around Disneyland? You probably can’t. I’ve tried to eat a turkey leg on my own, and it was pretty filling. It worked as a complete meal. We’ve also snagged one as a family and passed it around for everyone to pull off a bite. It’s flavorful and worth picking up from one of the carts around the Disneyland Park. I’ve had trouble finding the carts selling a turkey leg, but I’ve been successful at the cart near the Matterhorn and one in the circle in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

  • Location: A few carts throughout both parks
  • Cost: $12-$14
  • Details: A deliciously roasted turkey leg wrapped in paper.
Mickey pretzels are a delicious treat at Disneyland

Mickey Pretzel

Who doesn’t love a giant soft pretzel to dip in some hot cheese sauce! It’s even more magical when the pretzel is in the shape of Mickey Mouse… because that means you’re enjoying a day at The Happiest Place on Earth. The snack can be found at multiple carts throughout both theme parks, but we snagged ours from one in Tomorrow Land, right near the entrance to Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters.

  • Location: Snack carts across Disneyland and California Adventure
  • Cost: $7-$9
  • Details: Soft, salty, and shaped like Mickey. Comes with cheese dipping sauce.
The churros at Disneyland are so delicious

Churro

Whenever I tell people I’m heading to Disneyland, their response is almost always… “Eat a churro for me.” If I tried to eat a churro for everyone that told me that, I’d weigh a lot more than I do now. But I do have to admit that a hot churro provides just enough sugar and cinnamon taste to help me – and my fellow Disney-goers – stay on our feet a little longer.

  • Location: Churro carts throughout both parks
  • Cost: $5-$7 depending on flavor
  • Details: The OG Disneyland snack. Try seasonal varieties like pumpkin spice or strawberry cheesecake.
Grab a Tigger Tail treat at Pooh Corner in Disneyland

Tigger Tail

I’m going to jump back to the amazing little shop in Critter Country – Pooh Corner. In addition to the amazing caramel apples I mentioned earlier, they have a wonderful snack known as a Tigger Tail. Think caramel apple, but with marshmallows instead of the apple. Tigger was a little shocked when we showed up to take a group photo with him holding a Tigger Tail. He had to check his tail to make sure it was still attached.

  • Location: Pooh Corner, Critter Country
  • Cost: $5-$6
  • Details: Marshmallows on a stick dipped in caramel, then orange-colored chocolate with black stripes. Bouncy, trouncy, and fun!
Try The Grey Stuff, It's Delicious - a fantastic Disneyland snack

Grey Stuff

I’d always heard about “The Grey Stuff”, but I never knew where it was. Until I spent a day in Disneyland with a friend who knew all the right places to eat. We snagged dinner in Fantasyland at the Red Rose Taverne, which has a great French-style theme. After all, it’s Beauty and the Beast inspired. The Grey Stuff is something I recommend sharing with others in your party. Eating one on your own is a little too much. Also, the Grey Stuff has seasonal flavors, so you can visit this spot time and time again to try the different tastes.

  • Location: Red Rose Taverne, Fantasyland
  • Cost: $6-$8
  • Details: “Try the Grey Stuff, it’s delicious!” This mousse-topped red velvet cake is a nod to Beauty and the Beast.
Cozy Cone has some great ice cream treats at Disneyland's California Adventure

Cozy Cone Soft Serve

If you’re looking for something a little more classic, grab a soft serve ice cream cone from the Cozy Cone in Cars Land. They also have rootbeer floats, which are just as amazing. There are a few other desserts there worth trying, so regardless of which one you choose, the Cozy Cone will have you covered. And who knows… maybe Lightning McQueen or Mater will show up to say hello.

  • Location: Cozy Cone Motel, Cars Land
  • Cost: $6-$7
  • Details: Rotating flavors like chocolate, vanilla, or seasonal swirls. Served in a cone-shaped cone!
Enjoy a Frosty Parfait at Disneyland's California Adventure

Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait

The Adorable Snowman Frosty Treats is a great little place in Pixar Pier at Disneyland’s California Adventure. They have some great cold treats for those hot summer days. I’m told the yellow snow treats are lemon, but should I be a little worried? Haha! The Frosty Parfait was a refreshing treat to share. We went with the lemon ice cream (you can choose between lemon, mango or raspberry), and once combined with the blue raspberry swirl (like a slushie), the lemon flavor was just a little stronger than I could handle. That’s why I’m glad we shared. I’d like to revisit and try the raspberry ice cream.

  • Location: Pixar Pier, California Adventure Park
  • Cost: $8-$9
  • Details: Soft serve ice cream (your choice of lemon, mango, or raspberry) with a blue raspberry slushie swirl.
The Bam Bam Shake from Black Tap in Downtown Disney is one of many Crazy Shakes

Crazy Shake

You’ve never had a shake as crazy as the Crazy Shake. I saw them on the menu at Black Tap in Downtown Disney and knew I had to try one. It definitely didn’t disappoint. In fact, it was more shake than I alone could eat. And I’m a MAJOR fan of ice cream in general. There are several options to choose from and the toppings are seriously over the top. From Poptarts to actual pieces of cheesecake, you can have a Crazy Shake as a meal in and of itself. Or you can choose to share with someone so you can eat a little something that’s nutritious before heading back over to the parks.

  • Location: Black Tap in Downtown Disney
  • Cost: $14-$16
  • Details: There are seven Crazy Shake flavors to accommodate the Fruity Pebbles lover (Bam Bam) or the chocolate lover (Brooklyn Blackout). See the full menu of Crazy Shakes.

Summary

While many of these snacks are simply picked up from a cart, there are others that can be done via mobile ordering on the Disneyland app. Either way, I’d love to hear about the snacks you prefer to pick up when making your way through Disneyland.
