Everything You Need to Know About the Atlanta CityPASS
Atlanta is a city full of history, culture, and family-friendly attractions. But if you’re planning to visit more than one of its top spots, the admission costs can add up quickly. That’s where the Atlanta CityPASS comes in. It bundles five of the city’s most popular attractions into one discounted ticket.
When I know I’m going to be visiting a new city, I often check to see if there’s a CityPASS available. I know that if one is available, and I plan to visit several of the options available, it may be worth snagging a pass. I had some downtime during a planned trip to Atlanta, so I used the Atlanta CityPASS website to learn more about the “Things to do in Atlanta” and then make my itinerary.
So, is the Atlanta CityPASS worth it? Let’s break it down.

Will the Atlanta CityPASS Save You Money?
In short: Yes, if you plan to visit at least three of the included attractions.
Here’s why:
- Buying tickets individually for all five attractions would cost well over $190 per adult ($170 for kids).
- The Atlanta CityPASS is priced around $99 for adults and $79 for kids (ages 3–12).
- That’s roughly 40% savings compared to paying at the door.
Even if you only make it to three or four of the attractions, you’ll likely still come out ahead. Plus, the pass is valid for nine consecutive days, giving you flexibility to spread out your visits.

What’s Included in the Atlanta CityPASS?
During my business trip to Atlanta, I was able to get out and explore four of the attractions included in the Atlanta CityPASS. Sadly, I didn’t have enough time to get all five venues in during my trip. However, here’s a quick look at each of the options available for you.
NOTE: The first three venues listed are included in the pass. You then get to choose two of the three remaining attractions, which I’ve noted as (Choice Option) below.

1. Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium is one of the largest in the world, home to whale sharks, manta rays, beluga whales, and thousands of other marine animals. Families love the Ocean Voyager exhibit, where you can walk through a massive tunnel surrounded by sea life. Daily shows and interactive touch pools make it a highlight for kids and adults alike. I will note that if you’re attending one of their daily shows, be mindful of where you sit. There is a Splash Zone.
2. World of Coca-Cola
This museum celebrates Atlanta’s most famous export. You’ll learn about the history of Coca-Cola, see vintage advertising, and even peek into the vault that holds the secret formula. The tasting room is a fan favorite, offering samples of Coke products from around the world. I will say that some flavors are better than others. It was fun to taste so many different flavors.

3. Zoo Atlanta
Located in historic Grant Park, Zoo Atlanta is home to more than 1,000 animals, including giant pandas, gorillas, and elephants. The African Savanna and Asian Forest exhibits are especially popular. It’s a great stop for families who want a mix of education and outdoor fun. Be mindful of the closing time and when the last entrance time is. I went all the way out to the zoo and couldn’t explore it because I’d missed the Last Entrance time for the day.
4. Fernbank Museum of Natural History (Choice Option)
If you’re fascinated by dinosaurs, this is the place to go. Fernbank features towering dinosaur skeletons, immersive science exhibits, and a giant screen theater. The outdoor WildWoods and Fernbank Forest trails add a natural twist to the museum experience.

5. College Football Hall of Fame (Choice Option)
Sports fans will love this interactive museum dedicated to college football. From a 45-yard indoor playing field to exhibits honoring legendary players and coaches, it’s a hands-on experience that blends history with fun. It was fun to look at individuals from the schools I cheer from at home – The University of Utah and BYU.
6. National Center for Civil and Human Rights (Choice Option)
This powerful museum connects the American Civil Rights Movement to global human rights struggles. Exhibits are immersive and thought-provoking, making it a meaningful stop for adults and older kids. I highly recommend including this on your visit. It’s a wonderfully powerful museum that sparks discussions that should continue after your visit.

Summary
The Atlanta CityPASS is a smart buy for families or travelers who want to experience the best of the city without breaking the bank. With flexibility, significant savings, and a lineup of attractions that appeal to all ages, it’s one of the easiest ways to make the most of your time in Atlanta.
