Your Guide to Visiting M&M’S WORLD Las Vegas
M&M’s are one of America’s favorite candies. “They melt in your mouth, not in your hand.” So if you’re trying to find something fun to do with your kids while visiting Las Vegas, you’ll want to visit the four floors of M&M’S WORLD Las Vegas.
COVID-19 UPDATE: The store has a limited capacity of 200 people. A line forms in front of the store and down the sidewalk. We waited in line for about 20 minutes before we were able to enter the store. The 4-D film is also not playing. Face masks are required. (Updated Feb. 15, 2021)
The First Floor of M&M’S WORLD Las Vegas
As you would expect from any typical retail store, there are lots of things to buy. The first floor is only the start of branded merchandise: t-shirts, key chains, blankets, mugs, M&M’s candies, stuffed animals and much, much more.
To add some additional variety, each type of item is available in each color of the candies: red, green, blue, brown, yellow and red.
Don’t make any purchase decisions on the first floor. It may cause you to miss out on all the other items available on the three remaining floors.
The Chocolate Wall of The Second Floor
When you get off the escalator on the second floor, the smell of chocolate hits you like a ton of bricks. It’s like heaven on Earth for the chocolate lover. Make your way past all the merchandise to the back wall. It’s lined with tubes of M&M’s.
The chocolate wall at M&M’S WORLD Las Vegas is the largest chocolate wall in Las Vegas. It’s got:
- 125 tubes filled with M&M’s
- 22 colors of M&M’s
- 17 flavors of M&M’s
You’ll find peanut ones, traditional chocolate ones and flavored ones. If you’re in the mood to fill your own bag of one specific color, you can do it. But wait until you’re on your way out of the shop – it’s less to carry.
The 3-D Movie Theater on the Third Floor
Besides another floor full of M&M’s branded merchandise, you’ll find two unique activities – a 3-D movie theater and a machine that allows you to personalize some M&M’s.
On the escalator ride up to the third floor, you likely noticed movie posters. They’re patterned after actual movies, like “Dial M&M’s for Murder” (Dial M for Murder), “Chomp” (Jaws) and “SuperM” (Superman). They’re creative, that’s for sure.
Follow the signs to the entrance to the movie theater. The show times are roughly every 20 minutes, so hopefully you can time your visit just right. They will make overhead announcements when the next show is getting ready to start, so that helps.
If you’ve got extra time before the movie starts, you can look into personalizing your own M&M’s using the wall machine. You can select from 14 iconic Las Vegas symbols, or print text directly onto a bag of M&M’s of your choosing.
Prices for personalized M&M’s range from $19.99 for a 12 ounce cup, to $44.99 for a 32 ounce cup. It takes less than five minutes to personalize the M&M’s.
The Full-sized 18 NASCAR on the Fourth Floor
If your lucky enough, you’ll get a chance to meet one of the M&M’s characters. During my visit to M&M’S WORLD Las Vegas, I met Red and Green. In fact, Green was dancing when we found her. How ironic that she was doing the Tootsie Roll. Haha!
If none of the characters are on the fourth floor, you can check out the full-sized 18 NASCAR. You’ll also be able to find some racing merchandise branded with the chocolate icons.
Don’t worry if you think you’ll miss the characters. There are overhead pages that announce when and where the candy-coated chocolates will appear in the store. So just keep your ears open and your cameras ready, and you’ll be set.
